Course |
Cytogenetics witnessed, in recent years, a series of technological innovations that forced the field to completely and repeatedly renew its approach and vision of chromosomal imbalances and copy number variation in the population, in cancer and in evolution. Molecular cytogenetics, microarrays-CGH and massive sequencing technologies are the most relevant techniques that triggered these changes. The course is designed to give a broad overview of these technologies and to discuss with attendants the way they could integrate each other in a modern genetic/cytogenetic laboratory. |
